@BlueRice Don't worry, by the time Khmer soliders was at the battle field the Laos soldier withdraw - not because they're afraid but Khmer and Laos are good neighbor. On top of that, the Laos army knew the Thai forced the Khmer army to help them. I know this from my dad who was a soldier that drove the army vehicle to the battle field - he was there.

@BlueRice Simple questions and I have the simple answer, experience. They are force by diplomatic (I don't know the details behind it). Khmer do have war with Lao (history) but it's not a big war that gave the Khmer and Laos people something to remember about. As for the future, i doubt that Khmer will go to war with Laos because they are one of Khmer closest allies. Thai couldn't beat the Laos Communist so they have to ask the Khmer soldiers from the camp to fight off the Laos Army.
