@jmere05 That's the point, they are not citizens, they are Spanish Nationals and citizens. I know all about the history of Spain way more than you do. I'm not saying that Catalonia doesn't have its own history or language but Spain doesn't "occupy" Catalonia, Spain conquered Catalonia. I live in Barcelona. There's a difference between growing up being forced to learn Catalan and embrace the culture rather than being born Catalan and it being a part of you. Its only by language really.

@jmere05 You're ignorant. They ARE Spanish. They don't call Catalan people "immigrants" because they're Spanish and have Spanish passport. Until Catalonia gains official independence from Spain, they will never be recognized as only "Catalan" regardless of the what they would like. Yes they have their own language and culture as do Native Americans, does that not make them American? Food for thought puto.
