The other day I did my first boil test with the Emberlit stove I got from Mikhail over at Mercenary Arts. I used the Trangia burner like I always do in a new wood stove before I get it all dirty burning wood in it. The test was done indoors on my test bench.
I've had a number of people ask for me to use wood pellets in the Emberlit stove like I did in the Folding Firebox Stove. So that's what I tried to do in this video.
Unfortunately the wood pellets went out 4 minutes into the test and that was after I let the pellets burn for 4 minutes after lighting the stove with a firestarter.
Let me say up front that this is not a problem with the Emberlit. I don't think the Emberlit was designed to work with wood pellets so I really should not have tried using them.
I have a couple of ideas I want to try for using wood pellets in the Emberlit.
