Most Macs have a Realtek audio chipset, all of which force resampling 2 48k, thus ruining the sound quality & making it harsh compared 2 even an 'obsolete junk' dell thrown on the street. B smart & stick with 'Analog Devices', & only use the OEM driver, not the end brand driver(s), such as Asus, which fux it all up by again forcing 48k on 44 sources, etc.
