Different police units work together to reclaim their city block by block. Officers Philip Turzani and Robert Candelaria from the Street Crimes Narcotics Unit are partners fighting to rid the city of drugs. It is a dangerous task and they work closely together to make sure they go home safely everyday. The homicide squad of the Indianapolis Police Department is a busy place and we follow 3 late shift detectives on 3 separate murder investigations. Michael Crooke and his partner Michael Mitchell are senior squad members and veterans to hundreds of homicides. Detective Timothy Knight is the only detective on the squad who is also an ordained minister and brings a certain righteousness to the job. He investigates a man found shot in his car. Detective Tom Lehn is the rookie on the squad and he still has a lot to learn. His case involves a woman found stabbed in her apartment.

Episode Three: Straight Shooters
Baltimore

Baltimore, Maryland is a city of neighborhoods full of working people. Here, like any city, the people on the streets have a dark side. In Baltimore the dark side of drugs, guns and feuds leads to murder, a total of 300 homicides a year for the past 10 years. Homicide Detective Homer Pennington works long and emotionally draining hours to try and keep murder off the streets. He and his partner are called to a fatal shooting on the corner of a street where he unravels a drug related story in which the victim's fiancée witnessed the murder. Homicide detective Robert Patton has a vision in life, to try to make a difference.
