  • Now you've just gotta not break the ISS.

  • @Shuttheheckup735

If you got the money yeah sure but we are talking billions

The height of the ISS varies by around 50km as its orbit slowly decays every so often it has to be boosted back into a higher orbit.

Mir was build in the 80s and was designed by the soviets for Soyuz which would have cause problems.

Also mir was completed, adding additional models may not have bean achievable or affordable.

But above all I think the soviets would rather have it burn than the capitalist pigs getting it.

  • @Pumpkinking97

They are only planning to de-orbit it in 2016.

still anybody's guess if they actually will though.

  • Please! What is this song? I've been trying to find it for 3 years!

  • What's "international science"? I thought all science was international.

  • Every space station has service life, Mir done it and ISS will be over 2020 to 2025. and Mir II is situated on the ISS, it is the sad story to USA

  • Why couldn't they just keep it up there? if it was a cost issue Russia could have done this, "Hey, Canada, Britain, America, Which one of you guys wants a new space station =D"
