This is a short video that shows a human powered kinetic sculpture installation at Olympia's Capitol Theater from 9/07-12/07 by artist Bil Fleming.

In this space known as the "Gardens" controlled by the projectionist, I have installed a garden of flowers made from the fruits of our culture.

The force of our action is transmitted by a belt of plastic grocery bags - our consumerism. This belt transmits our energy through the system. It connects and drives the wheels of digital electronics, building construction and development, transportation, media/telecommunication and many other things.

This is a system driven by our actions and given meaning by our projections.

We are projectionists.

Materials include a drive belt made from plastic grocery bags, bike wheels/parts a garbage can lid, hub caps, road turtle, child's hard hat, computer storage disks, a clock, propeller, reflector lens, fan grill, and printing press lever. All materials are salvaged.
