  • Looks great, but I have some questions:

    - Are Linux drivers available? Especially the wifi would be important

    - Does it run normal Ubuntu (10.4) or would you have to install a downgraded version like Xubuntu or Puppy?

    - Why are the black feet placed so asymetrical?

    - If the video codec is done in hardware, does this mean that only these few formats will work and other formats like Theora won't work/work badly?

    - Is it possible to connect two monitors at once? (One VGA, one HDMI)

    -fan loud?

  • Can you make a demo video using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx x64? That's what I would like to run on it.

  • @MotionOrbProductions 3d Acceleration on LINUX for what exactly?? If your a gamer then you obviously choose windows.

  • @RedNifre The ARTiGO A1100 is 100% compatible with several operating systems including Microsoft XP, Windows XP Embedded, and Ubuntu Linux. The ARTiGO A1100 is also well suited to the newest Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.

  • Does anyone know if Ubuntu works on the ARTiGO A1100?

  • @RedNifre only thing about linux drivers is there is no 3d acceleration

  • @googlegogo

you would want to upgrade. there is no need. it can playback 1080p video and thats all it can do. if you want more, get a full pc

  • Possibly Perfect as a FREENAS server - do you have FreeBSD drivers for LAN, USB, SAT, Video ...?

  • Nice! :)
