I became a vegetarian at age 14 after staying at my grandparents diary farm - I am now in my 50s and all my siblings and their children are vegetarians - Killing an aggressor is one thing, killing a cow who provides so many necessities for human life is just down-right mean - Violence begets violence - our dominion over all God's creation means we are responsible for their protection not to plunder and exploit them for the satisfaction of our lusty senses.

@Cowlover108 That's wonderful that you became a vegetarian. Being an evangelist for it, you should at least come up with some reasons besides "downright mean." Mean is letting the cow stay alive until it dies of old age and is no good for anybody. Your piety is fine for you but I don't think it's appropriate to try to tell a complete stranger (me) that I have to live to the exact same standards that you've chosen for yourself. "Holier than thou" doesn't cut it with me. Our animals live elegantly

@Cowlover108 how would the rest of the 3.7 billion people in the world live. we need meet and that cow right there is a prime example of humans doing what they need to do to survive. plus its a living, and a way of life. god put them on earth so we can eat them and survive and not die out. but keep eatin grass you will be healthy !

@Cowlover108 i still eat meat but when we watched a doary in our cullinary arts class. they impale them and sommtimes it misses. and they get slaughtered alive. it makes me sad. but i cant live without my meat. so we try and get meat from out unlce when we can. and he knows what hes doing. he doesnt make them suffer. but i respect your opinion
