@mikeshanklin They will not let it happens. Only way is to make a world revolution but before to make sure people are educated about individual responsibilities. Since most people are dumb, it will be almost impossible to get there but worth a try.

Liberty and justice for all, really o_O

@mikeshanklin We can no more ban voluntary govt than we can boxing or S&M sex, no matter how bad WE believe them to be...it would take tyranny to do it...coercion...violence. All uniformity takes coercion. This is why anarchism is not utopian; it is not uniform. We seek voluntary associations...if you voluntarily want government, have at it...it's the state you may not have. Contractual aggreements afterall are allowed, no matter how stupid. :)
I think we are allies separated by semantics.

@mikeshanklin BTW, I'm an individualist anarchist who has no want or need for nations myself...but devoid of compulsory government, they are fine by me. Voluntary government is fine by me...it's just like boxing or S&M sex if voluntary, completely detrimental and yet only to the willing partipants. I just want the option of not signing their self detrimental social contract and to exist indivudally self governed, Afterall, even the anarchist believes in govt; self govt.

@mikeshanklin I think we agree, but it semantics on the word nation...a nation has no borders, it has no distinct rules or government per se...it's a culture often defined by loose things. Language isn't even totally uniform in a nation. This may be a bad example, as they are violent usually, but gangs refer to themselves as nations, like GDN (Gangter Disciple Nation) or LKN (Latin King Nation), etc. It's multilingual, borderless, what have you. A nation or country is just the people ina culture

Great video, Mike. It really gives the viewer a sense of how much brainwashing is involved in making school children repeat that pledge everyday. It assumes all children should "pledge allegience" to a state, just by accident of birth or choice of residency of the parent. Much like religion, a child is not responsible for the opinions held by their parent, and in most cases will vary from them at the "age of reason".
America needs a transformation from the TOP down!

@ouluvme2 We must end, not only America,... but all nations/governments. We must enable true freedom (anarcho-capitalism).

@mikeshanklin My only reservation is that there is a different between a nation and nation-state. A nation is the people, largely defined by culture, ideals, etc., not so much by race, language, or geographics. In this way I see nations as things that people will voluntarily be apart of (although they increase in diversity without state force). Govts also can be voluntary. Would be ban boxing as assault? S&M sex as rape?...cont...

@ProIndividual No, boxing is a voluntary act, just like S&M sex.... as long as all parties agree, it is voluntary. We only seek to abolish involuntary actions.

@mikeshanklin Would we* ban boxing as assault? S&M sex as rape? True, all social contracts are detrimental, but if they are strictly voluntary contracts devoid of geographic gang restrictions, then people will choose them. I don't want to be punched in the face, beat during sex, or to sign a social contract, but if others do wish to do these detrimental things, fine. Just don't force me to. I might just get some popcorn and be entertained watching their folly! There is no uniformity w/o coercion

@ProIndividual Nations/states/governments are criminal acts. They wouldn't even exist without taxation theft. Individuals can do all of the things listed, except they don't have the right to a government. They can box, they can have rough sex... whatever they want, but they are not allowed to tax/threaten other people/have governments.
