Last night the Blazers lost to the Thunder 106-107 in overtime. This isn't the first time the Blazers have fallen apart like this down the stretch when leading a game.

So I finally put together a jump shot vs drive/paint shot video analysis thingy. The game last night reminded me of the Grizzlies game (also at the Rose Garden) when the Blazers started to resort to jump shots. It makes me mad and decided to just make a video showing why the constant jump shots when having the lead is a horrible thing (and allows the opponent right back in the game when they do it).

This game was pretty bad though, the video starts with 6 minutes left in the 4th and goes through every Blazer possession and their shot choices including attempts/made/free throws and total points.

Armon's shot at the end does not count because he is Armon (the total points Armon has at the end is pretty funny compared to the total jump shot points).

Also I apologize for the non-hd video. I am in the process of getting a tuner card that can capture anything in HD (as of my previous videos I am only able to capture DTV Antenna channels in full hd). So enjoy standard definition for now.

  • lol I love how you pointed out Miller's 3pt%... he's still a great player though and can make the occasional clutch 3

  • AJ for the tie! OOHHHH!!!! oops excuse me, sorry, never mind LOLOPLOLOLOLOLOL

  • hahahaha kevin harlan fail. that was really stupid though by the blazers, they shouldv'e givin' it to LA in the post let him go to work, but i kinda do understand why they would shoot J's: Because The Thunder were 2nd last season in blocked shots as a team so it is very hard to score down low on them when all those shot blockers are down there. and at 3:04 there was a huge block that is probobly just one of many blocked shots in the game. but i agree you can't win basketball games with jumpshots
