Motorized Dyno Moto Glide Bobber Chopper

This is a motorized Dyno Moto Glide that I built. I used a new Dyno Moto Glide and a new motorized bike kit from Ebay. I bought both on craigslist. I spent the winter working on it and I have over $500 just in machine shop work on parts adapting the Shimano Nexus 4 speed rear hub to work with the rear sprocket that came in the kit and also adding a rear disc brake. After prototyping everything together, it was disassembled and completely refinished with automotive base/clear two tone paint.

I hated the stock exhaust/muffler so I have made a complete new exhaust that runs down under the length of the bike frame and then mounts in the back. It has a much more fluid and nostalgic look now. The seat tube has been cut, laid back and welded for a more stretched bobber look. I mounted my motor more upright for "the look" I wanted so the fuel intake angle was also cut, adjusted and then rewelded.

Glad you all like the bike. It's still running sweet and is my daily transport in warm weather. These are "tinker" bikes so mechanical ability is very important. Never ride without a complete safety check. The results of vibration has thrown me on the street twice. Ouch! The front frame downtube broke but has been repaired, new motor mounts designed and then the bike repainted.

i did all of my work to fit up a universal 66cc kit to a kids schwinn stingray, and let me tell you, it was a bitch!!! i had to drill the rim, mount the sprocket, weld on an engine mount to move the motor out and aline the chain, then i drilled holes to mount the black box cdi thing and the tank. i think all in all it took me about 400 dollars to build the whole thing and 30+ hours assembling that ghetto ass kit. yes they are road legal if you get a 49cc or under. but they wont know its a 66cc

Hey, top stuff, am chopping and building at the moment, winter here nearly.. got to thinking the other day about rear disc brakes... the million dollar question - how do you fit the brake rotor wheel with the rear sprocket ing the way? Did you bolt the mounting bracket to the sprocket or something?

Would love to see the updated bike with the new exhaust and chop too
