Porsche was the featured the marque at the Rolex Monterey Historics at Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway this weekend. As part of the event the head of the Porsche Rolling Museum, Klaus Bischof, brought many of the legendary Porsche race cars from Germany. In this video, Klaus goes on camera to discuss the importance of having these cars running on the track years after being put into retirement. He puts that statement to the test by driving the 1962 Porsche Type 804 Formula One race car around the track for some exhibition laps.

Klaus was great - these cars run thanks to him and Porsche put on a great show. The 804 was amazing to hear on track, and several of the cars that did not run on the day were started just so people could hear them. Thanks, Porsche!
