@AlexanderKain176 Oh no yeah for sure, Artist like "Green day" did that because they were bored of just one sound, Green Day never called them selves punk, and to be honest the majority of their songs aren't compared to the other bands, but Green day have their moments when they are punk, in some of their lyrics and some riffs, at some point a lot of punk groups drifted away from a while, The Adicts, The Misfits turned a little Metal, which wasn't bad, music is music let it be

I used to listen to KROQ back in the early eighties & remember a punk song saying 'ride on Ronald Reagan..Have fun Mr.President...save us from ourselves" well unfortunately don't recall who the band was nor the bname of the song..anyone out there who can answer this trivia? greatly appreciate it!!

@AlexanderKain176 Green Day is more punk than Mcr, mcr isn't even punk, don't go off saying your some expert on punk, you don't own punk rock, Go listen to Green day's "Take Back" and "Platypus I Hate /you" and tell me those aren;t hardcore punk songs. The Descendents even got softer than Green Day in their 2004 album.
