Shish Kebabs:

I forgot to mention that I blanched the little taters for about 4 minutes before adding them to the marinade. I cooked these on the middle rack of my oven at 375 degrees for only 15 minutes because I like my shrooms firm and my meat juicy. If you like your meat dry and cooked to death, leave em' in for about 20 mins. The vinegar in the italian dressing will "grey" the meat a bit beforehand, so pulling a piece out and cutting it open to inspect for doneness is nearly impossible.

  • Well, the vinegar in the italian dressing "cooks" the meat and it will be gray in color, so a visual test is almost impossible. But if all of your pieces are roughly the same size (1" cube) and you have partially cooked the new potatoes, I would say 10 minutes, then turn over and cook for another 5. I did these at 375. Is your stove gas or electric?

  • I'm really wanting to make some shish kabobs one night for dinner, but it's winter here in Illinois. When you cook it in the oven, how long do you cook it for?

  • Thanks.....I ran out of beer last Saturday, but I didn't run out of food.........lol
