Before going to bed this morning I started to hear little peeping sounds from the big Cockatiel cage in my room. After taking the nest box out checking over all 5 of the eggs i found the one that was making sounds. No more then four hours later did a little yellow fluff ball show up. Shela and Tucker are so far doing alright and interested in the baby, feeding it, and keeping it warm.
Here is Shela as she tries to keep the remaining eggs warm and keeping an eye on the new baby.
Please note that We do have a wooden Cockatiel nest box but Shela wanted nothing to do with it and wanted to lay her eggs in a cardboard box.
