if Sequatchie county would send the illegal aliens back to Mexico there would be no need to spend 8oo,thousand dollars to purchase more land to build a new school, that way you would give some relief to the old and hurting people just barely getting by! I did say ILLEGAL ALIENS!

Commissioner Will Zimmerman told a story during the meeting tonight that perfectly illustrates the attitude I'm talking about. He said he tried to explain the budget to his wife, but it was so complicated that she told him to make it simple or shut up. So he explained to her that the county is like a bus. The budget is how we operate the bus. There are a lot more people on the bus than there used to be. The bus needs gas to keep us moving.

Some of the people sitting on the bus want to drive. Some of the people don't want to pay for the gas. But the commissioners were the ones elected to drive the bus.

Well, let me illustrate Mr Simmerman want us the tax payers to shut up!

Mr. Zimmerman, the bus driver just ran over me last night -- he did not yield at the stop sign! The county commissioners voted to raise our taxes to 25 cents. I would like our executive

The prosperity of Sequatchie Co. in the past few years now has slowed. The state now has a 21 year high unemployment rate and a 6.9 percent increase in layoffs. Families are having a tough time just getting by. The old and the sick now will have to choose what they will do without. Will it be their prescription drugs, or a gallon of milk that they cannot afford?

Former Executive David Barker thought we the trouble makers of Sequatchie County did not think we had the first amendment right to say any thing about county business !

Will they have to turn off their air conditioning and when winter comes will they have to set their thermostats real low and wrap a blanket around themselves to keep warm?! You say 25 cents isn't much. But, add a 40 to 50 dollars tax increase per year on top of four dollars per gallon for gas, and 30 to 40 dollar light bill increase per month, and groceries up every time you go to the shopping center, and on and on I could go.

Our senior citizens have no place to turn to when they need help.

Some of you remind me of the folks in Washington, DC. They don't listen to the taxpayer either! As a taxpayer and a citizen of Sequatchie Co., I remind you, you work for us.
