Difficult decisions! The place I work at is a wonderful assisted living place, where they have their own apartment, but have all their meals made for them, and their home cleaned, activities, etc... and all the people who live there are happy, and smile a lot. so I can tell they are happy there.

Maybe that could be a last resort idea if nothing else will work out?

just a thought. she'll still have freedom, but won't be alone if she insists on staying in Georgia and no one can stay with her.

I have a suggestion when the weather gets warm and nice up in canada why not come get your Mom and let her have a little vacation with you for 2 months then return her back.Just a thought!!Let her see what its like where you live.Has she ever been up to canada?

Do you have siblings who can help take care of your Mom?

what about 'relief society'? Don't they help with such needs? I can't remember.
