Man i wish you guys put still put 100mm faders and Direct outs on your FX Mixers. that is the reason i bought my FX8. especially considering that the Home multitrack market is getting big, direct out make it much easier. Also could you guy make more of these videos they are really good way of showing off your product line! Do you still make all your mixers in the UK? Thank You, i love my SC mixer!

Sorry for the late reply... We do still have the FX16 with 100mm faders, but the majority of the market is asking for smaller consoles. I'm pleased to say that we still design & engineer all our products in the UK although many now have to be made in our offshore plant to remain competitive.

is it possible to assign different lexicon effects on different channels?

If I understand your question correctly the answer is NO, to do this you need multiple FX processors and a method to 'insert' these into the channel signal paths. This level of functionality is not possible in a cost effective manner in a product of this size and price. If you wnat this I would suggest adding a Lexicon MX200 to your equipment list, this will then let you have two more independent FX patchable to any two channels.

This looks like a great mixer and I'm going to get one. I'm also looking at getting an M4 for our keyboard player. It would be great if the Mseries had the lexicon too ... for me it's all that's missing. Love the soundcraft sound and attention to detail and quality construction.

Yes that's easy; you've basically got two options depending on your recorder and how you like to work, either:

1. make a 'y' split cable with a send and return (as if you were going to 'insert' a processor) and patch your recorder 'in series' with the mixer;

or

2. a 'bypass' lead with the insert send & return shorted together and take the output to your recorder from this point.

The method that works best depends on your equipment and application.
