They system is morally corrupt. Medicare is in bad shape because corporatists on both sides raided ther money to go to medicare.
There is no incentive for reduced cost in this system since we are not the end user of HC, the insurance company is and your company decides which insurance company you use and essentially, your doctor. The people who like this system today are either rich and can afford this ridculous cost, on medicare or ignorant. 16% of our GDP goes to medical costs... Outrageous.

Yes, a complete breath of fresh air.

Did you see him on the "bill of attainder" case? He is funny and smiles but there is no doubt that he is a bulldog when he sees someone stomping on the constitution. I wouldn't have wanted to be the guy he was asking the questions of. He showed him for being unprepared and uninformed about what the law they were debating really did.

Uh, it's up to $1.400,300,000,000 now..

They had to buy out that Louisiana representative for $300 million to get her vote.

The tax payers will fund that purchase of vote for the Democrat's cause.

Though, I bet $300 million would take care of ALL those dying in the streets because they don't have health care right Grayson?

Oh but for the next 5 years there is NO new health care. So they'll keep on dying, and now at the hand of the dumocrats, because they made this bill. LOL

I did not assert that Americans are dumber tha Europeans, not at all. So we are in agreement on that issue.

The post office eh? There is a reason that even with the United States Post Office (which not only charges, but is subsidized with taxes), there are companies like DHL, FedEx and UPS. All three companies run their business more efficiently than the USPS and often for cheaper.

You can deny it all you like. But Medicare and Social Securty are both suffering financially.

The post office is more efficient than either UPS or FED-X. Try comparing the cost of sending a letter to a rural place through either to the cost of doing it with the good old post office. When I order components from my favorite mailr order house I always use the post office to ship the parts to me. The post office cost less than UPS and gets the box to me quicker.

Medicare nor Social Security are in as serious of trouble as you seem to think. My private health insurance is going up 15%

Okay. This discussion is done. I don't mind having debates, but when my "opponent" starts ignoring facts and speaking if either lies or half-truths, then I call it a day.

I think you should research your facts. Sorry, the CBO is the definitive authority and they don't agree with you. The CBO estimates the Social Security will have to borrow $620 billion over the next 10 years to meet it's obligations.

Medicare is doing no better. Experts and the Medicare Trustees agree and estimate that Medicare will be bankrupt by 2019.

Simply put, disagree all you want. But facts are facts. The CBO estimations portray total failure within OUR generation, and experts think the CBO's estimates are dangerously optimistic, estimating failure within the DECADE.

Like I said, disagree all you want, but to do so you have to ignore facts and I don't play that game.

Have a nice life.

Medicare can't raise their income at 15% a year like my private health insurance is. If they kept pace with my health insurance they would have a surplus. The death of Medicare has been much predicted over the years.

The only part of Medicare that wil blow up unless fixed is part D. It was designed to fail. They aren't allowed to even ask for lower prices on drugs.

$620 billion over 10 years is $62 billion per year. That is a small fraction of the federal budget and a smaller one of the GDP. It is a problem that can be fixed.
