I think it would have been better to do the Tony performance with just the 17 or 18 people who are supposed to do it, instead of adding all the extras on both ends. Having all those people made it less synchronized, and all those voices make it sound kinda like a choir. Still good, regardless.
Saw A Chorus Line (partially due to the Tony broadcast) for the first time and adored it! Really great production. Having seen a video from '75ish... seems like they kept everything from the original show, which was great for us first timers.
This looks like they used the principal characters for the thing outside and the ENTIRE cast (including those we don't see after the first cut) for the large "one" kickline. Interesting. I saw the show the other day (Chorus Line, not the Tonys) and was disappointed that there were portions of the show where you couldn't hear the singing over the orchestra.
what a fantastic year for broadway

2:17... are we supposed to think that's actually Brian Dennehy's body?

a) I always get amused by really famous actors who have headshots ... do they ever actually get asked for them??
b) sam waterston's is probably from 10+ years ago ...
