The Guard didn't give up their house band status,they left on an exchange tour with The Mandala of the US and Canada. Mandala came here, we went there. It was such a rip off that we broke up after the tour. Yellow Payges took over the blank spott from there.

I do remember the palace guard doing this number at the Hullabaloo where they were the house band from the opening day until they just gave the stage to the yellow payges and the east side kids. and then Mandala took over not only the Hullabloo, but the Sunset strip as well including the Whiskey a go go during 1966 and 67.
