It's really surprising how many people are nominally into reggae and don't seem to know that the Boops riddim is a remake of "54-46 Was My Number" by Toots and the Maytals.

@nickca420 There's a lot of riddims that aren't named after the very first tune, there's no real rule on how riddims are named, it could just as well go by the name that most people recognize it by, and since this song became such a hit when it came out it's been called "Boops" pretty much ever since. The funny thing is that The Ethiopians' song "Train To Skaville" is the original song, so there you go, hehe!
