FH2 PIAT HowTo Anti Tank Infantry Tutorial

Using a PIAT on a poor StuG III crossing the bridge southwest of Flak Battery on Operation Totalize.

You will only score kills when you hit the tank's rear or top armour. Hitting the frontal armour or the skirts will have the PIAT's (Bazooka's/Panzerschreck's/Panzerfaust's) hollow charge projectiles bouncing off without doing any damage.

When using the later AT weapons (Panzerfaust 30/Panzerschreck/Bazooka/PIAT) you can kill tanks by aiming at the flanks, at the REAR HALF of the tank chassis.

Heavier tanks (Tiger, Panther) take most damage when placing shots at the last wheels on the rear half of the tank.

Maybe you can get lucky aiming for the area close to the gun mantlet while going head-to-head with the tank, but if you miss, you'll be dead in 95% of the cases :)

For aiming I use the top marker on the ironsights and then estimate the elevation according to the distance.

762...i saw people getting banned for using the PIAT against infantry, myself got kicked twice for doing this

Dear F4Wildcat, rest assured, if you use AT-weapons against infantry on our 762-FH2 Servers you will not get kicked or banned neither by me nor my fellow admins. These weapons were used against infantry in real life situations (explosives, AT-rockets against infantry bunkers, etc.) so we handle it that way.

I cannot speak for WOLFGAMING or HSLAN admins, of course.

I do not like satchels (throwing range too short) or composition B (damage done too small). You have to put them directly onto the engine deck and manage to put a second one onto the (now alerted) tank, after the first charge has gone off. Mostly that try gets you killed. You may this stuff on damaged tanks (smoking, burning) or on APCs or groups of infantry (e.g. throw the pack round a corner or across a wall) with some sucess. Nevertheless I would not recommend it to attack undamaged tanks.
