@notubeplease The diameter of the objective lens of the telescope is 80mm. The focal length of the telescope is 500mm. There was no eyepiece used. The camera is put into the back of the telescope with a t-adapter. I also used a 1.6x barlow lens. The camera is a Canon Digital Rebel T1i (500d). To properly use the Mylar with the Sun I had to use 2 layers or it was too bright. Thanks for watching! :)

@dtkachuk Thanks, I think everyone should get the chance to see the sun through a telescope, it definitely changed my interpretation of what the sun actually is and how it interacts with Earth seeing it as a star just like the hundreds of billions of luminous spheres of burning gas out there in the Milky Way! :)

very nice! ;;) what focal length are the objective and the eyepiece? and the camera? :D i never used Mylar - it didn't seem safe enough and the clarity is a little bit under that obtained through a Baader filter
