@jazzyfl1 Ahhemmm. You idiotic sir, are a faggot. these pests are overpopulating and driving out native birds.

@jazzyfl1: In many states (including AZ where I'm from) Rock pigeons are considered pests. Their numbers are not really kept in check by major predators and (as you can see from their numbers in this video) they breed plenty. Rural pigeons are said to be quite tasty...I'll have to get out to the country to shoot a few myself.

@GunPowdaJordan
We are using 12 ga shotguns, with 2.75 inch, 1.16 oz, 7.5 lead shot shotgun shells

What size shot do you guys use on these birds? Light target loads?

@michiganoutdoorsmen
Exactly. Target loads, or dove loads. Ususally 1 1/8 oz 7.5 shot.

@andyp311 Thank you sir! I figured that's what it was. In the next month or so I'm gonna break my new Beretta in on some pigeons before early goose!

@michiganoutdoorsmen
Excellent idea. You should be able to get in a few hundred shots.... be careful not to become too addicted... you might forgo goose season, and get stuck on pigeons. ;)
