  • Steven Seagal didn't want any of this guy.

  • @JeszeeLaw yea but bas was right. delucia is a show pony.

  • As a fan of the sport of mma/nhb since virtually the beginning, I have tremendous respect for Jason Delucia. Bas Rutten is a fighter who has carefully crafted his career, and is also one who has also held a long grudge with Mr. Delucia and even took his grudge online to Sherdog.com where he continuously put Jason down and in the process managed to get hundreds/ thousands of people to do the same.

Not because they had a problem with Jason, but because Bas had a problem with Jason.

  • @ThePinkMan i didnt watch the interview.

  • @TKSiate What, are you trying to knock DeLucia down a peg or something?

I don't know if you were paying attention, but Delucia complemented Dutch fighters in his interview and referred to them as "a new level of insanity.'' It's pretty obvious he had Bas Rutten in mind when he said that : )

  • two words for ya. BAS RUTTEN. hahahahahah.

  • @OrangeMarmalaid How is him doing Jiu-Jitsu interfering with being a pure martial artist? So your saying he has to stay 100% Kung fu while everyone else takes advantage of that and takes him to the ground? Thats like throwing a boxer into a wrestling match.

  • "I think the UFC has degenerated into bar-room brawling, there are only a few fighters who can claim the title of martial arts master" This interview is probably from the mid-to-late 90's, and while there were bar-room brawling guys like Tank around, the UFC was still and continues to be the proving ground for martial artists and fighters of all styles. Pancrase where fist strikes to the head weren't allowed isn't a true measure of who is the best or skilled, despite Delucia's delusions.

  • @CrowdPleeza Yea I suppose people like Brock Lesnar had a high level of completeness in martial arts? You also have to remember when this interview was done it was in the early 90's. Jason was talking about the sport at that time. He saw the sport getting covered with wrestlers and ground and pound fighters. If you where using roids at that time and still for the most part today you just smothered the other guy for 3 rounds. There are still tons of people fighting like that today.

  • He talks about being a pure martail artist but I see him useing a lot of jiu jitsu. And he knows that if he tries to fight someone from the UFC, strikeforce, or the WEC he'd get his ass kicked just like in the second UFC.
