From The Box Set "Thank You For The Music" Disc #4
Released In 1994.
Written And Produced By Benny Andersson And Bjorn Ulvaeus.
"Mountain Top"/"Dr.Claus Von Hamlet Parts #1,#2,#3"
These Are Several Demos Recorded In 1978. The Composition Underwent Several Changes And (Fun) Demo Titles During The Sessions. At One Point The Demo Featured Lyrics And Vocals By Bjorn Titled "Mountain Top", And Another Instrumental Attempt (Part #1) And Later Reworking "Part #2" (With Lead Vocals By Aggy And Frida). Parts Of The Composition Would Resurface In The June 1980 Demo "Burning My Bridges", But Eventually The Song Was Defined As A 'Schottis' And Put Aside Until Benny Made His First Instrumental Folk Album "Klinga Mina Klockor" In 1987, And Named It "Lottis Schottis".

HAMLET III (PART 1) (INSTRUMENTAL)

HAMLET III (PART 2)

When the autumn leaves are falling to the ground
When the air gets cold then I think of us
Of you and I
And It almost makes me cry
So sad and kind of bitter sweet
And the memories filled with tears
And I feel my heart will break
Guess it all was my mistake.

Autumn's chilly winds were blowing through the trees
And the rain fell softly on your face
Oh I remember every little thing about that day
I remember every place
Grey skies, you were laughing at the clouds
The rain fell softly on your face
The memories of our time together cannot be replaced
I never loved you more than on those happy autumn days.

  • Fantastic-today's the first time I've heard this!..Almost makes me cry..!

  • This song of course... was one of ABBA's " Undeleted " songs. These songs were started, but never finished even after several attempts. I think it's one of there best and it should be released....some day! Thank you for looking in.

Peace from Iowa ( USA )...Jim~

  • This was my absolute favorite song in the Undeleted tracks. So beautiful harmonies and lyrics. It´s a pity we never got this song or another great ABBA song "Just like that" in its entirety. :o) Great vocals anyway.
