Really? Wow... It's a mod chip. It allows you to unbrick a PSP, and other stuff. Good for making custom firmwares/downgraders.

no this is not just another flash1 chip, this is a USB JTAG Programmer, it has no on-board flash.
the other end of the blue wire got soldered to it's proper place, if I remember correctly that point is on the devo chip itself, for further clarification, check the actual install instructions...

I installed Devolution in PSP of Fw1.5.
The installation succeeded. And I took out 1.5 Fw with DEVOLUTION_FLASHER_2200.
And I did UPDATE of PSP to version 3.5.
I wrote in 1.5 Fw which I took out some time ago, but a UMD drive does not read a UMD disk afterwards.
Is there the person whom the same symptom was given to?
The Devolution substrate was installed in TA-079.

kazuya, the problem is in the IDStorage, it sounds like you used a 1.5 dump from a different PSP, this would cause a conflict in the IDStorage area. there is a great deal more to this and there are ways to fix this as long as you dumped the NAND from the PSP you are trying to downgrade, I don't have enough time to explain it here, but try checking out MaxConsole's U.P. forum, there is an extensive amount of related information there.

to get buttons fixed, either attempt it yourself if you have some experience in fixing PSPs or send it to an authorized repair center, or send it to Sony for repairs...

hey how long does it take for a pro to install the chip i should get mine in a couple of days and going to pay some one to install it
jadenx 4 years ago
Pros should be able to install the chip in about an hour (if using the suggested install method using epoxy to hold the FPC in place, and having some prior experience in installing the Devolution) but I can't honestly give you anything other than a rough guess...
