This is the 2nd ever start of the new project; T-Rex 700FBL Wren44 turbine. There is no power to the cyclic servo's yet, hence the wobbling swash on spool up. A totally faultless run, just an odd rattling noise, which turned out to be the gearbox running without load. See the next upload for a run with the tail and head loaders fitted. This machine should be ready to maiden in the next week or 2 :)

  • how much are the turbines for trex 700?

  • @MickNJ1979 the engine and gearbox was £2750

  • theres something about turbines which make them look absolutely beautiful

  • @jamiew48 it's the fact they are so smooth, powerful, compact, and make an awesome noise and smell! Nothing like the smell of Jet A1 wafting down the flightline!

  • Are these turbines easy to set up? Is extensive maintenance required? I'd love a turbine scaler in the future.
