I am the one in the yellow jacket sitting on the pavement. The people who made the video are students of Journalism.

Why is the Chinese regime locking up catholic priests, destroying mosques, destroying Tibetan culture, evicting people of their homes to build for the olympics without giving them another home, basically kicking them out on the street. Is that a goverment caring for its people or just a gang of cruel bandits?

@sabahmail2k - wrong, it's the heart that matters most. you are human and you run on emotions & thoughts, you cannot excise either, but never let your head rule your heart, your head is to refine and make communicative sense out of what the heart says.

they might also find it a threat to their aquisition of vast U$ resources etc too - maybe it is seen as western-fueled agitation just when they are becoming a superpower etc, but again, the point is that it is clear in the very oldest of Chinese thought and philosophy that you do not do things out of harmony with the tao, it will never lead to anything worthwhile.

they're paying attention to bullies opinions of what success is, well they are all wrong. success is spiritual & multi-dimensional.

the govt is likely worried about them because they are a voice of the real China - if you read & study Confucianism, Taoism etc it is very clear that what they are doing by copying the west - harming nature, industrialisation etc - is folly, major folly. but they think like the corporate bullies want them to, thinking they can only prove worth by having a space program and cheap factories etc, when those kinds of things are not a primary concern of sane societies.

first off, volleyball is only physical, not spiritual too.

second, no they wouldn't they'd stay and keep doing it, because there's nothing wrong with doing it.

if you can be threatened to stop something correct because evil might kill your for it, then you are certainly not clear-headed at all.

you will create a prison-world to live in only by acting that way.

I am not saying Chinese government is good. In fact, no gov is. Now, you have to ask why would Chinese government persecute FalunGong. Most of them are Atheist, they don't care if you are Muslims, Christian or Buddhist. You can add in Jews too to complete most of the groups you want to bring to your side.

They don't ban Christian or Buddhist or Tai Chi. Ask yourself, why?

Simple. Falun Gong is either too political or harmful. People are made to believe to immolate themselves

Here's the tricky part. They can practise FalunGong all the want at home and no one will care, but noooo, they insist to go on public street, put up signs, and ask to be beaten, so that they have a case.

To think of it, I am starting to ask, are they asking for the brutality themselves?

Now, here's the problem. FalunGong is only an organization supposedly for leisure skill, but people are willing to die for it.

That is the danger of it. I think this is why the government want to get rid of it.

Clear-headed people like you and me will abandon playing volleyball if it means death.

There are other choices, they can learn Tai Chi and Buddhism and won't get persecuted. Why insist? I wonder....

Religions tend to misuse by thug eg. christ, islam, hindu etc...

where money & power is, thug follow especially in religion.

FLG denying itself a religion but show every bits is.

The old world religion had killed million time immemorial.

We don't need another new and more ruthless religion to replace the old which we yet to tame.

Religion never contribute to human progress only science did. think by your brain not by your heart. cos most of the time you heart will kill you first.

Also, I know that all of the people in this are not actors at all. I know that they have truly been victims of persecution, and that they are genuine practitioners of the practice of Falun Gong.
