Sansa Clip+ Firmware Update

Little dark video of how the firmware update works on a Sansa Clip+ MP3 player.

The update works by copying the new firmware to the root directory of the device in MSC mode. After then unplugging the device the update will start automatically.

how do i get the old firm wire back

because the old firm wire had the option to make the music louder

@Elmo1998NZ I am not sure that you can get the old firmware back, as the firmware might check the version number on upgrade. However you can fix the problem with volume with the new firmware. Go to System Settings and hit Reset to Factory Defaults. When it asks you for region, select North America or Rest of the World, as only Europe has the limit in loudness.

Whenever I try to update my Clip+, the Sanza Updater says "Update service is not Available".

Why is this?

@John27346 No idea, I always use the MSC mode and just copy the new firmware to the device manually. See the link in the video description for more information.

@gamezombie225 Firmware updates are used to fix bugs in the software on the device, in the case of the Clip+ however nothing major, it just fixes few crashes and some issues with the volume control. It doesn't add any new features, so if you haven't run into any issues you can just ignore the update.
