@DBDMotorsports f1 sucks its the most boring type of racing it makes me mad when i watch it...they have crappy rules and theres not any racing going on what so ever nascars are one of the hardest cars to drive...even kubica said f1 would be boring to him if he wasnt racing it he wouldnt watch it...i would go to a horse race before i went to a f1 race
@DBDMotorsports: I'm watching Formula 1 consistently since 2000, but I started watching the IRL in June. You know that at the start you get dazzled by the speed. I was shocked by the speed F1 cars had in 2000, now I think they're slow. Maybe next year I'll think that Indy cars are slow!!! Who knows...
Anyway, neither is slow (apparently), I just pick Indy Cars without knowing the car weight (in Formula 1 it's 620-630 kg, or 1400 pounds, if I'm right). If lighter, it's faster with similar power.
@DBDMotorsports: You know that we can talk about it for a year if we want to and it would be interesting. Look, I respect your opinion, but in order to find out which one is quicker, I think we should let the Indy Cars run at Monza or Spa, where there are high speed straights and high speed corners.
@PhilipTheBigOne I'm Canadian and you should watch more f1. At monza they hit 354 for sure, Spa maybe. But again the tracks are restricting the cars from going their real top speed, not the cars. I was watching mark webber do a lap at spa, and he was going 180 mph in 7th gear flat out in a 4.04 G turn, for 54 laps which turns out to be around 305 km of tremendous strain on the neck. Being European, you should at least know they are harder to drive and require more endurance than stock cars
@DBDMotorsports: I doubt they'll let them, but they'll go far much faster than a stock car (they are non-restricted cars). Oh, and 220 mph in my country (I'm Greek) is 354 kph! I don't remember seeing an F1 car going 354 (in my numbers) in the last 7-8 years. They reached 365 kph (226-227 mph) back in the '90s - early '00s, though.
@DBDMotorsports dude, do yourself a favor, stop messin wid me, your gonna lose every time! ive forgot more about motorsports than youll ever know! go be in your mamby pamby land of technology, and leave us nascar HICKS alone! ding ding ding, this match is over!
@DBDMotorsports ok, im 33 yrs old, never lived in the 60's! not so long ago there was a series called iroc, maybe you remember this! it was a series of ovals and road courses that the best from every series in the world was invited to! so if its so easy to turn left, why didnt an f1 driver win the iroc championship more than stock car drivers? cause its not as easy as it seems ya moron! and oh yea, nascars pit stops would be 4 seconds if they used air jacks and 1 lug nut on each whell too!
@dmw31 You ever wonder why nascar doesnt have tracks outside the US? because everyone realizes that it takes no skill to turn left 4 times, even at 180 mph. not to mention the pit crews take 4 seconds max to do a complete pit stop while nascar pushes 14. sure nascar has the cream of the crop... thats grown in the US. f1 drivers are the best brought in from all around the world. there hasnt been an american f1 driver since like the early 90s. and stop living in the fucking 60s move on to DI
@DBDMotorsports here we go, sprint cup cars make the same power, if not more than f1 cars, using a carburator! no pun intended, but they are twice as heavy, and the tires arent but half as wide! im not tryin to offend anyone, f1 cars are fast, and are full of technology, but im sry, the racing sux! you say it would be boring on an oval, well its boring anyway! and oh yea, they change gears, ON THE STEERING WHEEL WITH THEYRE FINGERS! really hard, ill say it again, NASCAR has the cream of the crop
