Those of us who treasure this marker in Man's history feel so, so lucky. Lucky we had the incredible firefighters, lucky for the change in winds. We are lucky that the 60 Inch and the 100 Inch live to view another night.

Actually since that bright dot was rising before the Sun, it was Venus. Jupiter is in the evening in the SSW after Sunset.
