My dad started with a '69 gunmetal gray coupe, then a '70 BRG roadster and finally a silver V-12; the first one sold in the Midwest. I worked on and drove all those cars, new. Then in college I bought a used '67 Series 1 1/2 roadster-where the lights hadn't been raised yet, but were not covered. The best sports car ever, hardly! Almost any modern sports box can thrash the E type. They will kill you in a tight road course. However, updated by companies like Eagle-magnificent once again!
