SNOT was on the verge of success. Their debut album "Get Some" drew cult-like success in the LA Nu-Metal scene in 1997. After touring relentlessly for a over a year, the 5 guys went into the studio to record the tracks for their next album, but sadly the project was cut short when James Lynn Strait died on his way home on December 11th, 1998. Mikey, Sonny, Jamie, and Tumor already recorded all the music for their sophomore album, so they asked all of Lynn's friends to put vocals on each track for Lynn, and the "Strait Up" project was born. The CD includes the likes of Serj. Jon, MCUD, Max, Lajon, Corey, Dez, and even Fred. The CD is awesome, and SNOT's sophomore album would have been 10x better then Get Some. Just by listening to "Absent", "Choose What?", and the music from "Strait Up", you can tell these guys were trying to put out a more mature, darker, and heavier album. God Bless you Lynn!

  • "Do I have to get naked for you people to remember my name? Its Lynn from Snot."

  • This is an amazing song!

It's too bad snot didnt get the credit that they deserved for this, because everyone thinks this is system of a down, only because of serj.

  • @HorribleFolks And Deftones too man. Chino and Serj minds were ahead of that times.

  • @cass273

Buy the album 'Get Some', it's full of excellent tracks - Most notable for me would be

Snot, Stoopid, I Jus' Lie, Joy Ride, Snooze Button, My Balls, Get Some,

  • @p1mpinsid do you know or can someone tell me some hit songs by snot?

  • can someone tell me some good snot songs not to be mean but if there are any!

  • snot alive was a great live album

  • @HorribleFolks Just like Snot really haha. But yea SOAD and Snot were the top by far.

  • @goldstein2k That is because Serj was by far the best contributing vocalist and song writer on this list. Just from his lyrics and interviews he seemed like a more empathetic of an individual than most of the others as well. I'm not saying the other guys were shit, but Serj and SOAD in general was leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of the "numetal" scene.

  • @goldstein2k

you know that no one on the album wrote lyrics for the songs they sung on except for Brandon Boyd and Max Cavalera?

  • I like how Serj put his normal craziness from SOAD and used it here
