We put Sabershop's carbon fiber stunt blades to the test, against aluminum tubing and three types of wooden dowels to see what makes the best saber blade. I am definatelty interested in buying its price is very reasonalble but out of my range. I have some videos on my channel ( a saber spinning tutorial) i think the novus would be perfect. Would there be any chance on you holding a contest to win one of these puppies ryan? If not than i guess i have to wait for my tutorials to take off so i can advertise and use the money for a new NOVUS and CF blade <3

Assume a reasonable margin of error, the carbon fiber outclasses all three types of wood combined. Impressive stuff.

We used wood in my LCC entry, and the other disadvantage to wood that wasn't mentioned: wood is HEAVY. It's a pain to be swinging it around. I'd take something else any day, but wood is plentiful and cheap. When I see folks swinging sabers I know aren't wood around really slowly, I just think, "What's your excuse? You're using aluminum or carbon fiber and I'M faster than you with wood?"

As a four time entrant to the Lightsaber Choreography Competition and winner of LCC8, I fully endorse Carbon Fiber. I've literally used everything there is to use, and it's the best out there.
