This is the peoples' Carnival - you can see this from my video. It's home is Notting Hill it's where it should stay. There are only four problems with Carnival. The rubbish, the drunks, the yobs (they are just backward boys) and finance.

(continued) Forget nostalgia this is the 21st Century - get 'The City' to invest in Carnival (half a million + exposure is worth a great deal) the yobs community service next year will be to clean the streets. Then remove the drunks. I also think Boris should take a trip to Rio to learn a lesson and get (ex) Mayor Giuliani to 'clean' the streets. Next years Carnival CAN be better, more fun & more colourful, it is not rocket science!

lol every year people complain about youth gangs but tbh i was there and i felt safe most of the time. If you arent drunk and keep your wits about you, carnival is just as safe as any other large scale event.

Carnival hasn't lost its vibe. It's just silly young guys who come out looking for trouble that deduct the fun. The press hardly ever show the majority of people enjoying themselves at carnival, just the minority who spoil carnival. But anyway, I was playing in a costume and felt safe the whole day, until the trouble erupted.

I didnt mention anything about the london school of samba did i? i wrote what i wrote because i dont like samba in general. Plus you spelt it wrong its PARAISIO school of samba. Im with a soca only float so thats what im into...drums are just loud! Paraisio school of samba perform the same old tune...its boring.

Paraiso School of Samba is surely one of the most traditional samba school in the UK. In my view there are better than any other samba school or band in the UK. The true rythems of Rio/Sao Paulo finally come to london as the only real Rio Samba school in Britain. Hense wise The London school of Samba is no good as Praiso!

i think i get watya saying but yh carnival should b about having fun not ppl trowing stuff but reli it was a good event only media only report on the insident at the end they always do that so that they stop more n mroe ppl comeing every yr also like a few weeks b4 carnival they say there is a bomb scare n then ppl r like "the bomb will stop my boogie" bahhh wat a load of gobshite x
