I looked for this song on youtube, but I didn't find it...
So I made my own simple video ;)

Enjoy the song about the greatest pirate ever. Captain Blackbeard (no that is not Captain Jack Sparrow, he is FICTION, Blackbeard existed for real)

hear the lyrics

His name was Teach when he came to Carolina
Like a man possessed, he scoured the sea, and the Devil called him "son".

Blackbeard!

Teach, the demon of the Sea,
Run, you sailors, run.
With a beard of flame and a heart of ice,
Blackbeard, the Devil's son!

He shot his first mate in the hold one day,
He said "I don't give a damn!
If I don't kill someone now and then,
You'll forget who I am!"

He married a girl of fifteen years named Liza,
From across the town they could hear her scream
As he took her maidenhead.

Blackbeard!

Teach, the demon of the Sea,
Run, you sailors, run.
With a beard of flame and a heart of ice,
Blackbeard, the Devil's son!

(unknownunknown...) Blackbeard.
One hundred pounds will buy his head,
And Hell can have his soul!

From Portsmouth town there sailed a man named Maynard.
He did not come to save their lives,
He came for bounty money.

Blackbeard!

Teach, the demon of the Sea,
Run, you sailors, run.
With a beard of flame and a heart of ice,
Blackbeard, the Devil's son!

Teach met his fate on the shores of Carolina.
A challenge rang across the waves:
"You'll dance with death today!"

Sabers bit and bullets flew
As the ships drew side by side.
Blackbeard screamed like a cannon's roar,
"It's a damn good day to die!"

Blackbeard!

Teach, the demon of the Sea,
Run, you sailors, run.
With a beard of flame and a heart of ice,
Blackbeard, the Devil's son!

An ax, a sword, a bullet's burn,
Blackbeard stood them all.
He spat at his killers through broken teeth,
"You'll never take me alive!"

Now Teach is gone and the seas are safe today.
But down in Hell the Deveil's laughing
'Cuz Blackbeard's home to stay!

Blackbeard!

Teach, the demon of the Sea,
Run, you sailors, run.
With a beard of flame and a heart of ice,
Blackbeard, the Devil's son!

  • The part of the song you list as unintelligible is actually

"Governor Spotswood cried out in the world of Blackbeard"

Look up Alexander Spotswood on Wikipedia.

  • @meekayx3 "Governor Spotswood cried out 'I'll rid the world of Blackbeard'."

  • you`ll never, take me alive......

  • Dark, dirty realism....very good...!

You could imagine this was really played at the market places and in the taverns of North and South Carolina...

  • @gullyknully The band is the Jolly Roger's from the KC RENFEST. And they say Blackbeard the Devil's son be they can...they're pirates they can do anything.

  • The Song on a dead mans chest from treasure island has a source in a true story...blackbeard let some of his men guilty of mutily back alone on a little isle...with just one bottle of rum...

  • The Song on a dead mans chest from treasure island has a source in a true story...blackbeard let some of his men guilty of mutily back alone on a little isle...with just one bottle of rum...

  • The best thing about pirates is that most of the stories you hear about them. If not true then have foundation in truth.

  • The song is dark, brooding and good - some kind of dark realism...you really could imagine this song played and song on the Streets of North Carolina...!

And it does NOT glorify a pirate!

  • FANTASTICA CANZONE! Yeeeeah im the pirate! My jolly roger burn of glory!
