In the 1990s S.M.M. was established as a neighborhood based criminal organization in the Soundview section of the Bronx. Fathered by Peter Rollack a.k.a. Pistol Pete from the Soundview Houses, S.M.M. eventually affiliated itself with the L.A. based bloods gang. Over a relatively short time the S.M.M. set spread to other locations led by Peter Rollack who is currently serving a life sentence without parole on a plea bargain for admitting to killing 6 people.
