Yeah, one thing I like about Rorschach is that even though he is very narrow-minded, sees everything in black and white, and constantly points out the faults of people around him, he still is able to judge a person based on their merits and not their views. Even though his views are much different than that of Daniel's, he still considers him to be a good person and a good friend.

No, they both do. Daniel says without facing Rorschach that he shouldn't have said what he just said. Then Rorschach says, "Daniel, you are a good friend. I am sorry that it is sometimes difficult." Daniel looks awkward and says to forget it.
