http://www.ted.com In a world of too many options and too little time, our obvious choice is to just ignore the ordinary stuff. Marketing guru Seth Godin spells out why, when it comes to getting our attention, bad or bizarre ideas are more successful than boring ones.

TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers are invited to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes -- including speakers such as Jill Bolte Taylor, Sir Ken Robinson, Hans Rosling, Al Gore and Arthur Benjamin. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design, and TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, politics and the arts. Watch the Top 10 TEDTalks on TED.com, at

  • I would stop to look at a cow, Seth. I like cows. Don't assume you know everything about everyone. That's just not how it works. People are too diverse to be summarized in one pithy quote.

  • ... And for every marketeer there's a special room reserved for them in Hell

  • Inspiring video.

huge fan of Seth Godin's books too.

  • so the milk market just turned their cows purple.... for awhile

  • We should weld knives to all surfaces...to make things more noticeable and remarkable!

  • Just how loud is the intro :/

  • Hey! Don't stereotype! For every product, there's a market. For every market, there's a marketeer.

  • 'Getting your ideas to spread' is actually pretty funny, because he's talking about the invention of sliced bread. I'm laughing.

  • Why is this guy allowed to speak at TED? Marketing people are not improving the world, they're destroying it
