Bill was in marketing himself by the way he presented himself in his acts. Clearly you understand the joke behavior behind how he talked about marketing. There is really two different kinds of marketing, those that inspire and those that require. What I mean by "require" is that, it doesn't require you to do anything but be a consumer machine.
