Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle (SUGV)
Soldiers use the SUGV to conduct extended reconnaissance of urban and complex terrain, as well as subterranean areas, enabling the performance of manpower intensive or high-risk functions without directly exposing the Soldier to the hazard.
The SUGV also provides vital information regarding buildings, field fortifications, tunnels, sewers, subways, bunkers, facilities, and other structures in support of military operations, peacekeeping, and other Stability and Reconstruction Operations.
