Mark Ruffalo dishes about the Hulk-- Here what what the Big Guy's gonna look like up next!

Hi guys, I'm Chelsea Cannell for Clevver Movies! Mark Ruffalo spoke to MTV NEWS at the Indie Spirit awards about playing the Hulk in The upcoming Avengers flick. Ruffalo will be stepping in for Ed Norton this time around and is the first actor ever to play the Incredible Character using Motion Capture. He revealed that the designers are working hard to make the Hulk look like him by keeping all his features, but making them much much bigger!

Ruffalo is the third actor to step into the role of Dr. Bruce Banner but it'll be the first time the same actor has played BOTH incarnations of the character! And apparently we can look forward to having a few good laughs amid all the action, Ruffalo says the script has a LOT of comedy in it -- thanks to it being very much in the wheelhouse of writer/director Joss Whedon!

So the hulk is getting a makeover -- wonder what the big guy's gonna look like all Rufallo-ed out? Got any ideas -- Give em to us in the comment section and click subscribe to keep up with all the Avengers Action! • You see, changing characters, affects the story deeply. The obvious changes of the character of Rhodes in Iron Man 2 made a deep impact among fans, the once witty and funny Rhodes turned into a serious man. Marvel replaced Terrence Howard because Don Cheadle was "Cheaper". What the fuck? this is just soooo no Edward this is Ruffalo. two diff people ok? (NO SHIT SHERLOCK) Marvel probably replaced Norton because Ruffalo was also cheaper. What sick greedy moguls they are!

  • It woulda been perfect with ed norton, now its just semi perfect smh

  • why change the hulk character

  • I'm gonna miss Ed Norton as Mr. Banner but Avengers is still gonna be super sweet.

  • I'm just going to say this because I can't be asked to post one of my big ass rants. If you're not going to keep the same Actor playing the character, at lease keep the same Hulk design from 2008. I can see this on IMDB in the 'continuity' errors. A BIG one.

  • if we lose ed norton we are luck we got mark ruffalo a while ago i saw a bunch of clips with him acting he was awesome id rather keep norton because it ruins the continuity but still

  • @StealthBlade7 actually Edward Norton was a diva who wanted to do last minute rewrites the Hulk script and when marvel edited out SOME of the footage he didn't wanna promote the movie!!! now I ask you is this what you fanboys and girls would have wanted? strife on the Avengers set cause Mr. Norton doesn't get his way?

  • @jrvdav Comedy? Is that what scares you, what I am afraid of is that there will be drama in there. Everyone remember Spiderman, right?

  • Stop making shit up about how bad it'll be the movie hasn't even come out yet wait to see it then judge it

  • I can't believe how Marvel gave Edward Norton the axe in such an unprofessional way. My image of marvel as a company has gone way down. As for Mark Ruffalo, I am reserving all judgement until I see what he does with the character. But Edward Norton did an amazing job playing the hulk (and rewriting alot of the script) and it is going to be tough to fill his shoes, especially now that the continuity of the actor playing the hulk has been broken.

  • Hmm...Bruce Banner/Hulk with yet another new actor. That could be good or bad, but we should wait for the movie to actually come out first BEFORE making up our minds.
