She has been mis-diagnosed. She has OMGIGP(A) which is a much more exhaustive and severe form. Poor girl. Wonder if hubby is into farm animals or the like.
I personally wouldn't call it "offensive" (even with my emetophobia), but I can see how other people would be thrown off when confronted with unexpected, spontaneous vomiting...in graphic detail.
I think the ad is just in really poor taste; it's a shitty ad. This might just be worse than the one with Jerry Seinfeld trying to flatter Bill Gates with compliments about his shoes. Seriously, who's coming up with these?!
It's always been true: Microsoft has no taste. None.
Remember how janky Windows always looked compared to the Mac's GUI? Apple actually paid attention to design, composition, fonts, etc. Microsoft just went, "Oh, a GUI, well we can do that too! See?" Like a Gucci knockoff handbag: it looks just as good as the real thing -- from 20 yards away.
Still, I have to admit this ad goes beyond the usual MS lack of taste. They probably think it's clever and edgy. It just looks desperate to me.
