Holiday greetings to the thousands of Xaphoon players all over the world, and especially for Korean Xaphoonists, who requested this Christmas video. Happy holidays, and happy Xaphooning!

Nice. Do you by any chance have any material in the 2nd octave? The 2nd octave so far remains only a theory for me. I can get about 3 clean notes in the higher octave, but that's it.
Thanks for any info.

@george700dl Many Xaphoon players ask about the octave, and I've been meaning to do a lesson on that for the past few months. (I've also been behind on answering my YouTube comments for a few months... sorry!) I actually don't use the overtones on a Xaphoon much, as the lower (pure) tones sound richer, as they do on a sax or clarinet. I only use a couple of the higher notes when a song call for a high note or two.

What kind of reed do you use, xaphman1?
Thanks for a beautiful medley

@vincentvunguyen I use Rico 21/2 tenor sax reeds, the same kind that come on a new Xaphoon. Some beginners prefer a softer reed, and some sax and clarinet players prefer a harder reed. But I think the 2 1/2 reed gives the nicest tone on Pocket Sax.
