Oh, everyone understands what's going on. Except every US President wants to be the one who brought "peace" to the Middle East, and the European Union wants to solve one of the world's major conflicts to gain credebility as a mediator.

Fabulous...simply fabulous.... May Israel find its Jewishness and annex all their lands, expel all the Muslims and their Communist "Jews" currently polluting the knesset, supreme courts and your entire educational system... SRA

I should have known that schmukk Clinton was in that evil mix, yasser uglfat &,,, Free Amir !!!!!!!!!!!!Oslo accords, memsh'lett, ZADON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Kalahridudex And if that happens, Israel will most likely decide to unilaterally disengage from most of the West Bank, and will decide what to incorporate into its future borders, and will have to dismantle the rest of the settlements, about 60,000 out of the 240,000 settlers. Israel will gain additional Jewish cities and towns, and a strategic buffer zone. Plus, they can take soda and popcorn and have a front-row seat as the Arabs butcher each other through Hamas-Fatah civil war.
-
@Kalahridudex Well, Israel occupies those territories, but has not yet officially annexed them, applying its sovereignty and changing its borders. There are many other settlements scattered throughout the area, beyond these blocs. Ultimately, the PA is waiting for the world to force Israel to agree to their conditions, and once the Arabs outnumber Jews, they may begin demanding voting rights.
-
@warpedcomedy on a de-facto basis, its how it is now. the areas you describe that should be annexed are already under israeli rule, everything else is controlled by the PA. its a failure, oslo brought as the bloody 2nd intifada. best way to achieve peace is to guarantee to not attack 1st, but if the arabs attack, they loose even more land.
-
@Kalahridudex I didn't say that Israel would withdraw from the entire West Bank, I said that it would probably annex the settlement blocs. No one would expect Israel to dismantle places such as Gush Etzion, Ma'ale Adumim, and Ariel. About 80% of the settlers are expected to be behind the wall. And Israel can probably also annex the Jordan Valley as a strategic buffer zone.
-
@warpedcomedy well fuck the rest of the world, without the west bank we are in auschwitz borders, 10km wide.
-
Actually, Israel knows perfectly well what she's dealing with. She knows that there will likely be no permanent peace with terrorists, and that ultimately, she may have to annex settlement blocs and disengage from most of the West Bank. But ultimately, its for her own survival. The world will never allow us to keep ruling so many Arabs and build settlements without giving Arabs the vote, and we may end up facing sanctions and isolation if the status quo continues.
Latma, you are my hero! כתיבה וחתימה טובה (may you be written and inscribed for a good year.)
Perhaps the reason we look for peace with enemies is because we are not making peace with being a Jewish country, Being Jewish is not just a land and identity, it is an obligation as well, to serve G-d.
We have survived so far only through miracles. Let's thank G-d openly and not fear anyone or anything. Latma, to me you exemplify courage. Keep it up!

Looking forward to the day when the majority in Israel stop drinking the contaminated Kool-Aid of no peace.
Stop trying so hard to please your replacement god on the Potomac by doing everything he tells you to do.It's been an ABSOLUTE failure
TRY SAYING NO FOR A CHANGE !
