Let me say that the Uyghurs should be independent. They are not Chinese and their culture is being submerged in Chinese concrete. But why choose a Turkish song and choosing one" Istanbul " which did to the Byzantine civilisation the same thing which the Chinese ared doing to Kashgar.

Some Turks dream of creating a larger Turkey with Kazakhs etc (who are as Turkish as Jamaicans are English) , others want to join Europe and to be fair these ones are as liberated, educated and culured as any European, another segment wear veils and the mosque thing and look to Araby and one third of the country is Kurdish ie Caucasian ,and want independence.
