The latest additions to my record and cassette collections. The first bunch I picked up at a record store in the city, and the rest were found at yard sales around town.

The Mickey Katz 45 fell out of the Fleetwood Mac LP case after I bought it...wasn't aware it was in there so got it for free! It features an interesting Jewish-parody of "Rock Around The Clock."

  • Thanks for the comments! I know you will enjoy that Elvis album!!

  • I was at a music store today that had a few rows of vinyl there. I was thumbing through them and a whole bunch of adults joined me and thumbed with me. I felt like such an amateur to them, they actually lived in the time when records were the main format XD. There was some good stuff. Hendrix, Stones, Beatles, Nirvana, Beach Boys, Floyd, Elvis. Wasn't allowed get any though (I have gotten a lot of records lately) lol!

  • I am guessing you probably know more about LPs than most adults do these days. I don't think being alive when vinyl was mass-produced is necessary! I was 7 when they retired vinyl. Sounds like a good selection...you will have to go back there when you have extra cash!

  • Alright! Sucking in the Seventies! I have that one! Good old Peter and Gordon. Love Songs by the Beatles! Fleetwood Mac! Aqualung by Jethro Tull! Sinatra! Nice finds ;)

  • Thank you!

  • Let me say that in USA and Canada you're very lucky with these yard sales...Here in Italy we don't have such things, so we got to search for little shops and trade shows, and in both cases prices are quite high.

For instance: a copy of Aqualung in good shape would cost not less than 50 euros (being optimistic!) :(

  • Yeah, I know more than my mom and dad xDDD

My dad did promise to take me out record shopping again sometime soon. We have a big flea market in my city every Sunday, and there is TONS of records there.
